Norway is ramping up efforts to win consumers in the Spanish market, one of the world's most attractive for seafood companies.

This comes as the Norwegian seafood industry declares itself ready to take on the challenge of a Chilean marketing offensive in Poland and Spain, highlighting a willingness to come up with creative new products.

"When you have all the segments that you have in Spain -- groceries, smokehouses, wholesalers, restaurants and hotels -- then it is a very attractive market," said Seaborn Export Company Marketing Director Maria Barroso.
