Norway exported 1.4 million metric tons of seafood during the first six months of the year. The exports were worth a record NOK 53.7 billion (€ 5.6 billion/$6.3 billion), an increase of more than 1 percent in value from the same period last year.
The volume of exports during the first six months of 2021 was up nearly 9 percent over last year's 1.3 million metric tons. This year's export volume during the first six months is the highest ever recorded, except for 2018.
