New Zealand's seafood industry saw exports to China fall 50 percent year-on-year for the four weeks ending Feb. 23, slipping well below what was expected to be a year of growth.

What was projected to be a period yielding NZD 70 million (€39.3 million/$43.4 million) in exports to the country, actually resulted in just NZD 34 million (€19.1 million/$21.1 million) following five years of almost consistent climbs.
