International food and beverage giant Nestle is further expanding into plant-based seafood with the addition of Vrimp -- a plant-based alternative to shrimp -- to its portfolio.

"Garden Gourmet Vrimp" is completely vegan and made from a combination of seaweed, peas and konjac root.

According to Nestle, the product has the authentic texture and flavor of shrimp.

The Garden Gourmet Vrimp follows the launch in August 2020 of Nestle's plant-based tuna product "Garden Gourmet Vuna", which is now available in Switzerland, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.
