The coronavirus pandemic is forcing Mowi to put the brakes on its planned brand launches both on Amazon Fresh in the United States and with retailers in France, the company said.

In the United States, Mowi’s Pure brand products were officially launched on the Amazon Fresh e-commerce platform in March to major fanfare.

The products were unveiled across social media platforms in order to build brand awareness, however, shortly after the launch Covid-19 "made it challenging to introduce new products to end customers," Mowi said in its first quarter earnings report.
