Danish logistics and ferry firm DFDS, which last week acquired Grimsby-based fish distributor Colley Brothers, says its UK frozen fish delivery business is seeing demand normally only seen at peak Christmas and Easter periods in the wake of the coronavirus health crisis.
"It's very, very busy," Eddie Green vice president and head of DFDS cold chain operations told IntraFish.
Producers are being forced to redirect their routes to retail markets as wholesalers cancel orders.
