Icelandic fishing giant Sildarvinnslan buys 50% of Ice Fresh from Samherji

Icelandic fishing company Sildarvinnslan (SVN) has completed the purchase of 50 percent of the shares in sales company Ice Fresh Seafood from fellow fishing giant Samherji, first announced at the end of March this year.

The value of Ice Fresh Seafood in the transaction is estimated at €42.9 million ($45.4 million).

The transaction consists of the purchase of existing shares from Samherji for €10.7 million ($11.3 million), and the issue of new shares in Ice Fresh Seafood in the amount of €21.5
