Family-owned Norwegian salmon farmer Kvaroy Fiskeoppdrett knew it had to act fast as the coronavirus crisis was unfolding to keep supply moving to the US stores of Amazon-owned retailer Whole Foods.

The parent company's US brand, Kvaroy Arctic, recently landed a six-month contract with the retail giant, with an option to renew, thanks to a good relationship with the retailer through its former importer, Blue Circle.

In order to avoid chaos, the supplier closely monitored the coronavirus developments in other countries, and tried to predict what could happen in the United States, Kvaroy CEO Alf-Goran Knutsen said in a Facebook live update.
