While frozen seafood sales for Alaska pollock skyrocketed during the height of the pandemic, that demand has not diminished, despite restaurants reopening in the United States, according to Gorton's, one of the largest branded frozen fish suppliers in the country.

Nippon Suisan Kaisha-owned Gorton's saw fish stick consumption soar during the pandemic, in part because of a revamp of the company's marketing strategy, but largely thanks to COVID-19 boosting frozen pollock and other frozen seafood sales globally.

That momentum has not stopped in 2021, Gorton's Director of Brand Development Gavin Kennedy told IntraFish.
