Ecuadorian shrimp exports to China rebounded in February after two months of consecutive falls, hinting at better times ahead for exporters who have suffered fluctuating fortunes over the past 10 months.

At 42.2 million pounds, shipments were 50 percent higher in February than for the opening month of the year.

Jose Antonio Camposano, president of shrimp producers trade body the National Chamber of Aquaculture (CNA), told IntraFish it is very difficult to draw conclusions from one month to another, particularly in a market as volatile as shrimp.
