Norway's salmon exports to China rocketed 60 percent in July, as more sales channels for the fish open up as the country emerges from COVID-19 restrictions that only recently have eased.

Overall, Norway exported 95,620 metric tons of salmon worth NOK 9.6 billion (€851.7 million/$930.3 million) in July, an increase of 1 percent and 13 percent respectively compared with the same month last year.

Although Poland, France, and Denmark were the biggest markets for Norwegian salmon in July, China was the stand out market during the month.
