While fresh fillets are still the main export form of Chilean salmon to the US market, frozen fillets and whole fresh salmon are growing quickly. From 2010 to 2019, frozen Chilean salmon fillet exports to the US leapt 619 percent and whole fresh by 638 percent.

From 2010 to 2019, Chilean salmon exports to the US market have jumped six fold and is set to continue increasing this year. Import volumes through April 2020 are 8 percent higher than the same time period the year prior.
