Peter Pan Seafoods has once again jumped out ahead of the other Alaska salmon processors to commit to paying fishermen a specific price for the salmon they catch this summer.
On Saturday, the company announced it will pay a base price of $1.10 per pound for sockeye salmon caught in Bristol Bay this season.
In May, the company announced it would pay what it said was a record grounds price for Copper River kings and sockeye.
