The land-based salmon industry is helping give birth to other affiliated support businesses. One such enterprise is ReelData AI, which has just won a contract to supply land-based salmon farmer Atlantic Sapphire with AI technology that the tech firm says will provide significant savings for the company by helping it control the feeding of the fish at its Denmark and Miami farming sites.
Fish feed can account for up 70 percent of a salmon company's business cost, so any savings will benefit the company's bottom line.
