Not everyone in the supply chain is happy with this year's soaring farmed salmon prices.

Small salmon processors, dependent on the spot market, have been suffering as prices combined with inflation and the cost-of-living crisis have increased costs while suppressing demand.

But a bright spot on the horizon comes in the form of Christmas sales, an opportunity companies cannot afford to miss in the current climate.

This year has seen surging demand and a drop in harvest volumes come together to produce all-time record prices for farmed salmon, with average prices climbing above NOK 100 (€10.50/$11.40)
