A change may be afoot in US fresh seafood. Retailer Whole Foods is the latest grocery giant to roll out pre-packed chilled fish, under its 365 by Whole Foods Market brand, which will form the basis of the company's new smaller-footprint locations.

The skin-packed line -- all at around .5 pounds in net weight -- includes several species, including farmed Atlantic salmon from Norway, tilapia, yellowfin tuna, swordfish, sea scallops, Pacific cod and Pacific Dover sole.
