Vietnam shrimp exports slid 12 percent to $1.4 billion (€1.3 billion) in the first half of 2019 compared to the same time last year, however, the country expects a turnaround in the second half of the year, according to Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producer (VASEP) figures.

Exports to all five main importing regions, which include Japan, the United States, China, the EU and South Korea, fell.
