Restaurant operators as much as diners these days increasingly care about where their seafood is sourced from, said US Foods, the second-largest food distributor in the United States.

This comes as the company, in partnership with the National Restaurant Association (NRA), is debuting a guide to help boost awareness and levels of interest in sustainable seafood among restaurant operators.

The guide is aimed at making the selection of sourcing sustainable seafood easier for chefs and restaurant owners.

Diners today are more interested than ever before where their food comes from US Foods’ Local and Sustainable Product Lead Anthony Kingsley told IntraFish during a conference call interview with company executives.
