UK sushi chain Itsu is planning to expand deeper into Europe and the United States in the near future, after experiencing significant growth year-on-year both in its hometown of London and the rest of Britain.
The brand was created 16 years ago by Londoner Julian Metcalfe, who also co-founded retail chain Pret a Manger with partner Clive Schlee.
After opening a restaurant in Chelsea, Metcalfe took the risk and started selling take-away sushi and now has 69 outlets in the United Kingdom.
