Seafood sales at UK retailers dropped slightly in the 52 weeks through April 23, according to the latest data from research company Nielsen.

Retailers sold 329,530 metric tons valued at £3.1 billion (€4 billion/$4.5 billion) over the period, down 0.6 percent in volume and 0.2 percent in value compared with the same period the year prior.

This fall was driven by a drop of sales in the frozen and ambient segments.
