UK supermarkets and restaurants are being supplied with Australian barramundi from a recently established farm situated in the heart of a forest in the south of England. Mike Urch went to find out more.

'We launched the fish in Waitrose on April 9, ' says Campbell Mitchell, managing director of Aquabella plc which sells fresh farmed barramundi under the 'New Forest Barramundi' brand. 'The first batch sold out.' Waitrose, an upmarket UK supermarket chain, had exclusivity on the fish, which sold very well according to Quentin Clark, central buyer for poultry, fish and eggs.
