Yasar Group aquaculture arm Camli is seeing strong overseas demand for its products, and expects revenues of $40 million (€35.6 million) in 2016, a year-on-year increase of 8 percent, Yasemin Ozbakkaloglu, export team leader at the company’s seafood department, told IntraFish.
While the fully integrated business has licenses to double its production, the company is focusing its strategy on slow, long-term growth to ensure it does not saturate the market.
The approach has been adopted by most major producers in the country, who see the promotion of Mediterranean species on global markets as key to a healthy balance of supply and demand.
“Our
