The eligibility of Thai seafood products currently covered by the US Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) will be revoked April 25 due to “longstanding worker rights issues in the seafood and shipping industries.”
Thai Union, the country's biggest seafood exporter, however, said the decision would have "no business impact," since none of the seafood or pet food products it sells into the United States are currently covered by the GSP.
