Since last September Rob Hallion and other US importers have been dealing with an additional 10 percent tax on seafood imports from China, part of President Donald Trump's trade-war tariffs imposed on $200 billion (€178.9 billion) worth of Chinese products. And while the President claims the tariffs are hurting China, some experts say seafood importers and ultimately consumers are the ones actually paying the price.

The increase hasn't caused Hallion, who is president of Massachusetts-based Crocker & Winsor, to change much about his routine business with China, but it is driving up his costs considerably.
