The recent restaurant week in Colonie, New York, a suburb north of Albany, was a coming-out party of sorts for Aliki Serras and her Reel Seafood Co. restaurant. In January, Serras bought the 30-year-old iconic restaurant from her dad. Since then, she has worked to transform the successful but dated restaurant into a hip hangout for a younger seafood crowd – while staying true to the restaurant’s long-time regulars.
