Russian authorities on Friday lifted a temporary ban on imports from Faroe Island-based salmon producer Bakkafrost.

In November, Russia's food safety authority Rosselkhoznadzor issued a temporary ban on imports of salmon offcuts from one of Bakkafrost’s facilities after finding bacteria in a sample.

At the time of the ban announcement in November, Bakkafrost CEO Regin Jacobsen told IntraFish the import restriction would "only have a minor impact. It's only byproducts, offcuts, this is only a small part of the production," he said.
