Meat-substitute brand Quorn has kicked off its 2019 product development (NPD) program with a range of seafood alternatives, reports The Grocer.

The company will roll out its vegan "Battered Fishless Fillets with a Salt & Vinegar Batter" and "Breaded Fishless Fillets with a Lemon Pepper Breadcrumb" in March.

The new products will join the brand’s existing "Fishless Fingers," which will see a packaging refresh to become part of Quorn’s new fishless range.

The fishless SKUs, which have been in development for five years, represent a sustainable alternative while delivering the familiar flaky texture associated with whitefish, said the company.
