Florida-based Publix Super Markets will be releasing its own sustainability sticker for seafood products, reported the Tampa Bay Times.
The guidelines set in place are a product of a collaboration with Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP) and the Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative (GSSI). Publix has worked with SFP since 2009.
Eco-labels will be placed next to price tags at the full-service seafood counter and on the shelf tags of the frozen seafood section.
