Production of the world's main farmed fish species is predicted to largely rise in 2020, according to projected figures from the Groundfish Forum, seen by IntraFish.

Pangasius is expected to make the biggest impact, grouped together with channel catfish, to give a 2020 volume of 2.7 million metric tons, a 3.8 percent increase driven by predicted increases in Chinese and Indonesian production.

Projections for the farmed Atlantic salmon supply also continued on an upward trajectory, with a projected rise of 3.7
