Norwegian salmon exports increased 17 percent in volume to 86,000 metric tons in April with Poland, Denmark and France being the largest markets.
The export value grew 19 percent to NOK 6.2 billion (€635.7 million/$711.9 million) compared to April of last year.
Prices for fresh Norwegian whole salmon are the same as the previous year, averaging at NOK 68.46 (€7.0/$7.9) per kilogram.
So far, the total amount of Norwegian salmon exported this year is up 5 percent to 333,000 metric tons, with the value increasing 10 percent as well.
