French company Odontella has introduced a new vegan product made from microalgae, reported Vegconomist.

The Veggie Marine Salmon is said to cook and taste just like salmon, Odontella said.

The company describes the product as rich in marine protein, carotenoids, and omega-3s, and free from any pesticides. The product is 100-percent vegan, has no impact on biodiversity or marine wildlife, and uses ecologically certified packaging, the company said.

Odontella was founded in 2016 by a team of experts in microalgae and human nutrition and specializes in developing nutritious, sustainable products based on microalgae.
