The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) labels are among the top 10 sustainable food labels in the Netherlands, a government study finds.

The seafood labels competed with almost 100 other quality marks to emerge among the top 10 eco-labels recognized in the Netherlands.

Milieu Centraal, a Dutch environmental information and education foundation, carried out the study on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality.

This is the second time the MSC’s blue fish label has been ranked as one of the top sustainable food labels in the Netherlands, scoring full marks for credibility and transparency.
