Vietnamese shrimp giant Minh Phu reported that the export value of its products heading to the United States dropped by 59 percent in September to $18.7 million (€17 million) compared to the same period last year.

The nosedive led an overall export value fall of 34 percent, with nearly all markets, including Korea and Japan, showing a decline, despite sales to Europe increasing by 22 percent to $7.1 million (€6.4 million).

In July and August, export values to the United States declined year-on-year by 4 and 35 percent, respectively.
