It is unclear yet if retail and foodservice buyers will stand by Nova Austral's Sixty South salmon brand in light of the beleaguered company's widening problems associated with its falsifying salmon mortality records.

But one long-time supporter and major buyer of the brand said she is sticking by Nova Austral.

“I absolutely love the product,” Cheryl Fuller, director of fresh seafood operations for Halperns Steak and Seafood, which is owned by the $13 billion (€11.5 billion) distributor Gordon Food Service, told IntraFish.
