Ikea is opening its first establishment in India with prospects to sell about 500 meals of Norwegian salmon a day.
"With space for over 1,000 guests, it will be served as much as 9,000 meals a day, 500 of them with Norwegian salmon," said Yogi Shergill, head of the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) in India.
Ikea opened its first shop in India on Aug. 9, and plans to open 25 warehouses in the country over the next few years with plans to serve Norwegian salmon at its restaurants.
