German fish and seafood supplier followfood is introducing two new Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)-certified products to the German market under its followfish brand at the upcoming BIOFACH 2018 show in February.

The new products are single-frozen and raw deep-sea scallops fished in the Northwest Atlantic as well as single-frozen, skin and bone-free black halibut from Greenland.

Only back in October, the company launched a range of smoked salmon, which already nabbed the first retail listings in Germany.

"The demand for fish products is still great but there's also uncertainty around which fish you can buy," said Jürg Knoll, partner and managing director of followfood, on the new launch.
