The first fish oil made from Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) certified rainbow trout is now available in parts of Europe.

Sold in health food stores under the trademark Nordbo, the product is produced by Danish company Proby Ingredients, part of the Danforel Group, and is certified throughout the supply chain.

The fish from which the oil is extracted are transported live from trout farms located a maximum of 50 kilometers from the factory in Grindsted, Denmark.

The rainbow trout oil will soon be sold in Demark and Finland under the Ecolomega trademark.
