Since launching its first Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC)-certified salmon in retailers six months ago, Nomad Foods-owned Findus Sweden is seeing steady uptake of the product, despite a low awareness of the label in the country.
The ASC product -- a two pack of natural salmon fillets with skin on -- is currently sold at Coop in Sweden and online retailers Mathem.se and Linas matkasse.
The product, sourced from Nova Austral farms in Chile, is also available in foodservice, in a larger 5-kilo box.
