An individual in Maine has filed the first class-action lawsuit on behalf of consumers against several Norwegian-owned salmon farming companies currently under investigation in Europe for pricing fixing.
The lawsuit, filed by Robin Wilkey June 11 in a US District court in Maine, follows much of the same format as a consolidated lawsuit filed by several US companies in Florida against salmon giants that include Mowi, Grieg Seafood, Leroy and SalMar.
