Ricardo Garcia, CEO of Camanchaca and president of the Chilean Salmon Marketing Council (CSMC), told attendees at the North Atlantic Seafood Forum (NASF) that many salmon consumers in the United States do not know that Chile is a salmon farming nation, or that Chilean farms operate in some of the world's most pristine waters.

With this in mind, the CSMC is launching a new campaign “Salmon de Chile: The Promise of the Patagonia” at the Boston seafood show this year, to link Chile salmon with the cold waters of the Patagonia, where the country's salmon farming industry operates.
