US tuna canner Bumble Bee Foods has settled with Walmart in a major antitrust lawsuit against the country's big three tuna producers -- that also includes Dongwon-owned StarKist and Thai-Union's Chicken of the Sea--for conspiring to fix prices of shelf-stable tuna products.
The major US retailer has agreed to dismiss its claims against Bumble Bee, according to court documents filed June 7 with the US District Court of Southern California.
Walmart has also dismissed its lawsuit against Bumble Bee's private equity fund owner Lion Capital, according to the court.
