California-based Blue Harbor Fish Co. announced on Wednesday its albacore tuna products are now sourced from Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified fisheries in the South Pacific.
The company's pouches and cans now carry the eco-label and uses tuna caught by longline fishing methods and specific tracking system for traceability.
The Blue Harbor Fish Co. products retail for approximately $2.69 per a pouch and $3.49 per a can (pricing will vary by retailer). Pouches and cans will be available shortly online and in the seafood aisle at local grocery stores.
