Aldi's Danish fish supplier Prime Ocean is being accused by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration of altering the expiration dates on salmon, reported FodevareWatch.

During an audit, the food authority discovered that the shelf-life information was modified

Prime Ocean's batch of two-year-old Norwegian salmon includes 20 metric tons of frozen salmon, which the company was marking as sourced from Denmark in 2019.

During the raid, the inspectors also found non-certified cod labeled with the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) logo.
