Norway Royal Salmon (NRS) is suing Danish salmon processor Skagerak Salmon for a breach of contract during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Skagerak Salmon is 100 percent owned by the Sekkingstad Group, and is also the facility that processes the fish from the vessel Norwegian Gannet.

The dispute between the companies is over whether Skagerak Salmon had the right to buy less fish than agreed right after the pandemic hit hardest in the spring of 2020.
