The Wall Street Journal editorial board on Monday hailed an Alaska judge's ruling to grant American Seafoods subsidiaries a preliminary injunction against the US Customs and Border Protection agency that was resulting in millions of dollars in fines and a paralyzed Alaska pollock supply chain.

The right-leaning editorial board praised the decision as "good news for American jobs," and quoted National Fisheries Institute (NFI) President John Connelly when highlighting the stakes.

Connelly's court filing in support of the restraining order and injunction rightly called the hold up a "commodities catastrophe,” the Journal wrote.
