UK seafood processor Seachill plead guilty after retired Grimsby Town footballer Tony Gallimore lost his thumb in an accident in its facility, GrimsbyLivereported.

The 47-year-old was working on an extraction fan that should have been isolated but wasn't. As a result, part of his right thumb was amputated. The incident occurred in September 2017.

Contracting company Carrera Engineering Services -- Gallimore's employer -- admitted a similar charge to Seachill.

Both companies will face large fines when the sentencing takes place this March.
