Lawyers for North Pacific Seafood denied allegations of foul living and working conditions described in a class action lawsuit filed last month by the Marubeni-owned North Pacific Seafoods.

On Nov. 18 the company filed a response with the US District Court for the Western District of Washington, where it denied a range of claims that included overly long working hours, unsanitary water and mold and rodent infestation at its Alaska salmon processing facilities in Naknek.
