Ex-Bumble Bee CEO Chris Lischewski made one final statement to the court Tuesday moments before a US district court in northern California sentenced him to 40 months in prison and a fine of $100,000 (€88,000).
In a roughly five-minute statement, Lischewski said that over his 20 years at Bumble Bee he developed a reputation for honesty and integrity.
"I testified for three days during my trial, and prior to that I took an oath to God to tell the truth," he told the judge.
