Norwegian salmon farming giants embroiled in a lawsuit accused of colluding to fix global salmon prices, are arguing the case should be dismissed as it relies wholly on “vague allegations” and is “devoid of any facts supporting the alleged conspiracy.”

According to court documents filed with a Miami court this week, the salmon heavyweights -- which include producers Mowi, Grieg Seafood, Leroy Seafood, Ocean Quality, SalMar and some of their North American subsidiaries or joint ventures involved in secondary processing and distribution of salmon -- have launched a motion to dismiss the case.
