Former Bumble Bee CEO Chris Lischewski’s counsel is asking a US District Court judge to allow him to serve no more than year of "home confinement" and perform 1,000 hours of community service as a sentence after being criminally convicted of price-fixing.

Lischewski's lawyers told the court May 26 the US Department of Justice's (DOJ) request for him to receive to receive between eight and 10 years in prison and fine him $1 million (€927,540) amounts to a "death sentence" given the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
